Kevin Smith competing for Seahawks' final wide receiver spot
Seattle Seahawks wide receivers Kevin Smith, Kasen Williams and Douglas McNeil will compete for the final roster spot at training camp, Seahawks.com reporter John Boyle expects.
Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson (assuming he's healthy) will all be on the roster, leaving Smith, Williams and McNeil to battle for one or two spots. Smith should enter camp as the favorite, seeing as he outsnapped Williams 215 to 39 last season while earning five targets compared to just one for Williams. McNeil never played a down in 2015 after joining Seattle's practice squad.
Smith accrued 5.01 Reception Net Expected Points on just five targets in 2015.
