Lions' Devin Taylor a prime candidate for double-digit sacks
Detroit Lions defensive end Devin Taylor is a candidate for double-digit sacks this season, Lions.com reporter Tim Twentyman believes.
Taylor should be plenty motivated heading into his walk year. He finished second on the team with seven sacks last season and could face a lot of one-on-one blocks with Ezekiel Ansah and Haloti Ngata attracting attention on the other side of the line. The 2013 fourth-round pick is slated to begin the year as a starter for the first time in his career.
The Lions ranked 25th in the league in Adjusted Passing Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play and 22nd in the league in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play in 2015. Taylor racked up 35 total tackles and 7.0 sacks in limited snaps last year.
