Lions' Haloti Ngata ready to go for 2016 season
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata said he is feeling like his old self.
Head coach Jim Caldwell agreed, saying the staff is still "getting a sense" of how good Ngata can be after he was hampered by injuries in 2015, his first year in Detroit. Even at 32, Ngata has the ability to anchor a defensive line when healthy. The Lions will hope he stays that way this season.
The Lions ranked 25th in the league in Adjusted Passing Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play and 22nd in the league in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play in 2015.
