Datone Jones working solely as outside linebacker at Packers minicamp
Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Datone Jones worked with the outside linebackers at Monday's minicamp.
Jones spent most of his first three seasons as a 3-4 defensive end but the Packers plan to use him exclusively as an edge rusher this year. The Packers declined Jones' fifth-year option, making this a contract year for the 2013 first-round pick.
Jones totaled 20 tackles and three sacks last season. Green Bay finished 11th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
