Lions not expecting Brandon Pettigrew (knee) by training camp
Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn said tight end Brandon Pettigrew (knee) will not be ready for training camp.
Pettigrew had said he "planned" to be ready for camp, but that was never likely after he tore his ACL in December. It is possible he begins the season on the reserve/PUP list.
Pettigrew turned 31 in February and is probably nearing the end of the line. He has devolved into nothing more than a blocker, making just seven grabs for 67 yards and a score in 2015.
