Ryan Nassib

Ryan Nassib looks outstanding in Giants' practices

New York Giants contract-year quarterback Ryan Nassib has looked "vastly improved" in OTA practices, according to the NJ.com's Jordan Raanan.

What It Means:

Raanan says Nassib "barely looked" like a pro-caliber quarterback two offseasons ago, but he's become "harder to differentiate" from Eli Manning in recent practices. Raanan believes Nassib even throws with better velocity than Eli and "can do significantly more damage on the move." Manning, 35, is under contract for four more seasons. If Nassib has a productive preseason, he will generate interest on the 2017 free agent market.

It's obviously an excruciatingly small sample size, but Nassib has seen just 12 drop backs in his NFL career and has generated 6.62 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) on those drop backs (0.55 Passing NEP per drop back).
