Jahmyr Gibbs goes twelfth overall to Lions
The Detroit Lions selected former Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs with the twelfth overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Lions shocked many when they selected Gibbs with the twelfth overall pick, but Gibbs' talents certainly earned him a spot in the first round of the draft. Gibbs dominated for the Crimson Tide in 2022, leading the team in both carries and receptions.
Gibbs possesses top-end speed capable of producing elite splash plays, and is a proven producer as a rusher and as a passer. The Lions' rushing attack figures to be one of the best in the league in 2023 with Gibbs, David Montgomery, and D'Andre Swift leading the way.
