Bruce Miller has been playing some wide receiver at 49ers' OTA's
San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly said fullback Bruce Miller has played "a little bit of wide receiver" at OTAs.
Miller began his career at fullback but has spent the offseason making the transition to tight end. Apparently he's getting some work in at wide receiver as well. Miller has dropped weight this offseason to improve his mobility and has studied game film of Brent Celek, Zach Ertz and Jason Witten. "He can just do a little bit of everything pretty good," said offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins. "So we’re excited about him."
In 2015, Miller accrued 8.52 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) on 14 targets, good for a solid clip 0.61 Reception NEP per target.
