Harper spent the first eight years of his career in New Orleans. He was a 32-game starter for the Carolina Panthers the last two seasons. The Saints don't have a huge need for Harper after trading up for Vonn Bell in the second round, but could want some veteran insurance behind Kenny Vaccaro and Jairus Byrd. Harper hasn't had any known interest from teams this offseason.

The Saints ranked dead last in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
