Roy Helu

Roy Helu goes unmentioned by Raiders coaching staff at OTA's

Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave didn't even mention running back Roy Helu (hips) when talking about the team's running backs on Tuesday.

What It Means:

It may be because Helu isn't taking part in OTA's due to offseason surgeries on both of his hips, but more than likely the Raiders have moved on without him. Once healthy, Helu is a candidate for release. The Raiders appear happy, for now, with rookie DeAndre Washington and vets Jamize Olawale and Marcel Reece behind Latavius Murray. The Raiders are a team that could add a back.

Helu earned just 33 opportunities last year despite a barren depth chart, with a -0.05 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry mark on 17 attempts and 0.44 Reception NEP per target on 16 targets.
