Denver's Brandon Marshall willing to play on a one-year tender
Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall said he is willing to play out 2016 on a one-year tender.
Marshall still has not signed his second-round tender as he pursues a long-term deal, but he said he is open to playing out the one-year deal before hitting free agency next spring. "I have no problem playing the deal out, I have no problem with doing that," Marshall said. "But I do want to be here long-term, so that's what I'm working towards."
Von Miller is a more pressing concern, but the Broncos need to get Marshall locked up, too, especially after fellow linebacker Danny Trevathan left in free agency. Playing in all 16 games in 2015, Marshall totaled 100-plus tackles for the the second straight season. Denver ranked first in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play a year ago.
