NFL reinstates Jaguars receiver Calvin Ridley
The NFL has officially reinstated Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley after serving his one-year suspension.
Ridley applied for reinstatement with the league at the earliest possible opportunity after serving out a one-year suspension for betting on NFL games. After a short period of deliberation, the league has now officially reinstated him from that suspension, meaning he will be free to join his new team when they commence their 2023 offseason program.
Ridley played just five games in his final season with the Falcons before the team traded him to Jacksonville, but the former first-round pick put up three fantastic seasons prior to that to begin his NFL career. In his last full season, Ridley caught 90 passes for 1,374 yards and 9 scores, and will now be joining a budding offense with Trevor Lawrence at the helm.
