Cameron Wake (Achilles) expected to be ready for Miami's training camp
Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake (Achilles) will be ready for training camp, said Dolphins' coach Adam Gase.
"It's probably us holding him back," Gase continued. Every report on Wake's rehab has been positive. If he is not 100 percent when training camp opens, he will not be far from it.
The Dolphins could use a full-strength Wake in 2016. Miami ranked just 30th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last year. The Dolphins were 15th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play but a woeful 31st in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. In seven games in 2015, Wake recorded seven sacks. He had 11.5 sacks in a full 16-game season in 2014.
