Kansas City's Knile Davis has not requested a trade
Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis said he did not request to be traded this offseason.
It was reported Davis requested a trade after Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West landed long-term extensions, but he denies those reports. Either way, it is clear the Chiefs are interested in moving their No. 4 back, and Davis seems open to the idea of a fresh start. "At this point, I can pretty much do it all. I just haven’t had the opportunity to show it," Davis said. "But one day I will get the opportunity to show what I can do, and I’m looking forward to that day."
Long viewed as the handcuff for Jamaal Charles, Davis was leapfrogged by Ware and West after Charles suffered a torn ACL. Out of the 106 backs to receive at least 25 carries in 2015, Davis ranked 93rd in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt. Opportunity is not the issue.
