Colts' T.Y. Hilton more motivated in 2016

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton said he's "more motivated, more hungry" entering this season.

What It Means:

"I've never seen this guy practice as fast as he's practicing right now," Colts' coach Chuck Pagano said. "He’s done it day in and day out." Hilton had a bit of a down year last season, posting a three-year low with 69 catches, but he was able to turn them into 1,124 yards and five scores, playing half the season with quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Ryan Lindley. With Andrew Luck back healthy, Hilton, along with the rest of this offense, is probably being overlooked at the moment.

A year ago, Hilton ranked eighth in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target among wideouts with at least 100 targets. He's maintained his efficiency this year despite some shoddy quarterback play. This past season, among the 32 receivers with at least 100 targets, he ranked in 11th in Reception NEP per target.
