Justin Tucker's new contract with Ravens just a matter of time
Justin Tucker's new deal with the Baltimore Ravens is just a matter of time, according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.
Tucker is currently the league's eighth-highest paid kicker, but the deal between Stephen Gostkowski and the New England Patriots should be the precedent for Tucker's new deal.
Last season, among 30 kickers who attempted at least 20 field goals, Tucker's Field Goal Net Expected (NEP) Points, which indicates how many points he added to the Ravens relative to expectation level, of 26.18 ranked 10th. His Field Goal NEP per play of 0.77 also ranked 10th. Gostkowski led the NFL in Field Goal NEP (35.78) and was third on a per-play basis (0.97) among the 30 qualified kickers.
In 2013, Tucker's Field Goal NEP of 40.41 led the NFL, and Gostkowski's 40.08 ranked second.
