Packers' Aaron Rodgers (ribs) to undergo further testing

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ribs) will undergo further testing on the injury he sustained in the Packers' Week 12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

What It Means:

Rodgers was knocked out of Sunday night's game by a rib injury, and said afterwards that he was originally worried that he may have suffered a punctured lung. Initial testing revealed that the veteran was able to avoid puncturing his lung, but Rodgers will undergo further testing to determine whether or not he is dealing with any broken bones.

Rodgers said after the game that he intends to return to the field as long as the Packers are still in playoff contention, but backup Jordan Love performed admirably in relief for Rodgers against one of the top defenses in the league. Love, who completed 6 of 9 attempts for 113 yards and a touchdown, would be the starter if Rodgers were to miss any time.
