Nate Irving and Sio Moore competing for Colts' inside linebacker gig
Indianapolis Colts inside linebackers Nate Irving and Sio Moore will compete for a single starting spot.
D'Qwell Jackson is locked in as one of the starters, leaving the other inside linebacker job up for grabs. Irving specializes in stopping the run while Moore is more athletic and can pressure the quarterback. Irving wasn't himself last year after suffering a torn ACL in 2014, but Colts' coach Chuck Pagano said he's looked much healthier at OTA's.
The Colts' defense ranked 18th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
