Darrell Henderson misses Rams practice with illness
Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson did not practice on Wednesday due to an illness.
The Rams are playing on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8, so Henderson should be able to recover in time to handle lead back duties. Malcolm Brown will be the backup running back. Cam Akers (personal) remained absent on Wednesday and he's expected to be inactive again on Sunday or traded beforehand. The Rams designated fifth-round rookie running back Kyren Williams (ankle) to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, but he will not play versus the 49ers.
11.54 49.31 0.29 2.00 13.19 0.09 Henderson is the RB27 in numberFire's Week 8 rankings and our models project him for 13.5 touches and 62.5 yards. Brown (RB50) is projected for 6.5 touches and 28.7 yards. The 49ers are allowing the fourth-fewest FanDuel points per game to the running back position this season, but their run defense is a less daunting No. 14 in our schedule-adjusted metrics.
