Connor Cook has impressed Raiders' staff at rookie camp

Oakland Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said fourth-round rookie quarterback Connor Cook has been "outstanding" at rookie camp.

What It Means:

"Obviously he is intelligent. He asks good questions. He’s got arm talent," said Del Rio. "I think he’s off to a great start." Cook didn't seem entirely satisfied with his performance but he did enough to stand out among the 50 players invited to Oakland's rookie camp. He's competing with Matt McGloin for the No. 2 job behind starter Derek Carr.

McGloin has a career 6.9 yards per attempt average on 262 attempts and 11 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He has a career -0.04 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back in 272 drop backs since 2013.
