Commanders believe Brian Robinson (lower body) could play Week 5
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson (lower body) has officially been designated to return to practice.
The Commanders have 21 days to promote Robinson to the active roster, but head coach Ron Rivera said earlier this week that he "anticipates" the rookie back being available for Week 5 versus the Tennessee Titans. Robinson looked poised to start the year as Washington's lead back following a strong preseason, but then he had to undergo surgery after being shot twice in the lower body during an armed robbery attempt. Antonio Gibson could quickly be relegated to an ancillary role if Robinson is ready to make his debut on Sunday.
Robinson has a $5,500 salary on FanDuel in Week 5 and he's currently the RB34 in numberFire's weekly rankings. Our models project Robinson for 12.3 carries and 52.9 yards, with 1.1 catches for 8.2 yards.
