Cowboys' Dak Prescott (thumb) targeting return in Week 5
According to Jane Slater, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) is targeting his return for Week 5's contest against the Los Angeles Rams.
After his stitch was removed from his thumb on Monday, Prescott is aiming for a return in Week 5. While Slater did note she got "the sense" Prescott could try and play in Sunday's divisional showdown against the Washington Commanders, she also expects the Cowboys and Prescott will make a "smart" decision on his potential return.
Expect Cooper Rush to make his third start under center versus a Washington defense ranked 28th (22.7) in FanDuel points allowed per game to quarterbacks if Prescott is inactive.
