Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy praises Noah Brown's competitiveness
Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy praised wide receiver Noah Brown's competitive following the team's Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Noah’s a stud. He’s so competitive," McCarthy told the media after Brown's big night. "Just the offseason he had, obviously the anticipation of the opportunity that he was going to have this year. Now you’re just seeing the payoff of it.” Brown entered the season as the Cowboys' WR2 with Michael Gallup (ACL) sidelined, but leads the team in catches (10), receiving yards (159) and receiving touchdowns (1) as they enter Week 3.
Brown has so far been the best receiver on the Cowboys for fantasy, and caught all 5 of his Week 2 targets from Cooper Rush for 91 yards and a touchdown. CeeDee Lamb is still projected to lead the team in opportunities, and Gallup's impending return may affect Brown's chances, but it may be hard for the Cowboys not to put Brown on the field if he keeps playing like this.
