Cowboys' Michael Gallup (knee) expected to avoid reserve/PUP list
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup (knee) is not expected to start the season on the reserve/PUP list, according to Jerry Jones.
Gallup is progressing in his recovery from last season's knee injury and is not expected to be ready for Week 1. Avoiding the PUP list does open the door for him to return to action sometime before Week 5. Following the offseason departure of Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys will enter the season relatively thin at the wide receiver position behind CeeDee Lamb.
In 9 games for Dallas last season, Gallup caught 35 passes for 445 yards and 2 touchdowns on 65 targets.
