Carroll: Seattle's Kenneth Walker 'got a little hernia thing that he’s working on'
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker (hernia) was a non-participant in Tuesday's practice.
Per head coach Pete Carroll, Seattle's rookie running back is dealing with a hernia ailment and the team is trying to get him ready for their regular season opener against the Denver Broncos. "Ken’s got a little hernia thing that he’s working on and we’ve got to get through that," said Carroll about Walker's current status. "We’ve just got to make sure that he’s OK by the opener is what we’re shooting for.”
If Walker were to miss any time, expect Rashaad Penny to purely emerge as Seattle's lead back. According to Fantasy Football Calculator in 12-team point per reception leagues, Walker's current average draft position stands in the eighth round while Penny's stands in the sixth. For the 2022 season, our models currently project Walker to record 168.7 rushing attempts for 712.0 yards and 5.3 touchdowns and 19.7 receptions for 137.3 receiving yards and 0.7 touchdowns. According to numberFire's season-long rankings, Walker stands as our RB38 with a 119.2 fantasy point expectation.
