Chris Thompson on Washington's roster bubble?

Washington running back Chris Thompson's roster spot is in jeopardy, CSN Washington's Rich Tandler believes.

What It Means:

Currently, Thompson is the favorite to operate as the Redskins' pass-game specialist out of the backfield. But he wasn't a general manager Scot McCloughan draft pick and is recovering from significant shoulder surgery. Tandler believes the Redskins may still be interested in re-signing veteran Pierre Thomas, and seventh-round running back Keith Marshall also made Thompson's seat hotter.

Though the small sample size needs to be accounted for, Thompson earned a 0.25 Total Net Expected Points per play on 83 chances in 2015.
