Jaguars trade up to land Myles Jack

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded up with the Baltimore Ravens to select former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack with the No. 36 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.

What It Means:

In exchange, Baltimore will get picks Nos. 38 and 146 in this year's draft. Jack made 28 college starts -- 27 at linebacker and one at running back -- excelling at both positions with a 5.7 yards per carry average and 11 touchdowns on 68 career carries, and utter dominance as a three-down outside linebacker.

Before Jack tore his anterior meniscus three games into his 2015 junior campaign, he showed the ability to cover backs in the flats and receivers in the slot while laying wood on the ground and affecting games as a blitzer. Not yet of legal drinking age, Jack's rookie-year impact will be tied his knee rehab. He's another talented addition to a Jaguars' defense which has added Malik Jackson, Jalen Ramsey, Tashaun Gipson and Prince Amukamara this offseason -- in addition to the return of Dante Fowler (ACL), last year's first-round pick.
