Karlos Dansby expected to start for Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Karlos Dansby is locked in as the strong-side linebacker following the team's release of A.J. Hawk.
Dansby already had the inside track before Hawk was sent packing. Now, it's set in stone. Going on 35, Dansby remained serviceable in over 1,000 snaps for the Cleveland Browns last season, but he might not make it through another entire year as a starter. He's backed up by second-year third-rounder Paul Dawson.
Dansby recorded 109 tackles and three interceptions last season. The Bengals' defense ranked 10th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
