Bills trying to re-sign Stephon Gilmore
Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley said he’s "actively" trying to extend contract-year cornerback Stephon Gilmore.
Gilmore’s fifth-year option is set to count $11 million against the cap. The Bills haven’t made any progress to this point, but talks could pick up after the draft. Gilmore was one of the better players at his position before missing the final four weeks.
Buffalo ended 2015 ranked 12th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play. Gilmore racked up 36 total tackles, 18 passes defended and three interceptions across 12 games in 2015.
