Jets unlikely to pick up Dee Milliner's fifth-year option
New York Jets cornerback Dee Milliner will not have his fifth-year option picked up by the Jets, ESPN reporter Rich Cimini reports.
The Jets have exercised defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson's 2017 option, but it doesn't appear they'll do the same with Milliner. The 24-year-old has struggled to stay healthy and barely saw the field last season with Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie ahead of him on the depth chart. At this point, Milliner is not worth the $11.9 million price tag it would take to keep him for 2017.
The Jets ranked first in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
