Ravens have asked Darren Waller to play tight end
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Darren Waller confirmed the team has asked him to switch to tight end.
"I’m excited about it," Waller said. "I’ve been playing different positions since high school, so I think picking new things up won’t be hard. It’s just applying everything and being comfortable with it. It’s working at it every day and focusing on the fundamentals." The 6-foot-6, 245-pound pass catcher played quarterback and safety in high school before switching to receiver at Georgia Tech. It is an interesting experiment for the Ravens, but it is unlikely Waller is able to crack a suddenly deep tight-end rotation this season.
On six targets in 2015, Waller picked up just 0.50 Reception Net Expected Points.
