Packers reportedly sign wide receiver Sammy Watkins to 1-year deal on Thursday
The Green Packers have reportedly signed wide receiver Sammy Watkins to a one-year contract on Wednesday.
What It Means:
Watkins' addition should help address the massive hole in Green Bay's receiving group after Davante Adams was traded to Las Vegas. Expect the veteran to compete for targets behind Allen Lazard and other wideouts the Packers bring in during the draft.
According to Pro Football Focus on 45 targets last season, Watkins ranked 68th among his position with a 66.3 offensive rating.
