Rashaad Penny returning to Seahawks on one-year deal
Running back Rashaad Penny is signing a one-year deal to remain with the Seattle Seahawks.
Penny will remain with Seattle after closing out the 2021-22 season with the most productive stretch of his career since being drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. Penny has struggled to stay healthy since entering the league, playing in just 37 games over four seasons. His deal with the Seahawks is a one-year deal worth up to $6.5 million. Penny reportedly turned down higher offers from other teams to remain with Seattle.
In 10 games last season, Penny recorded 119 carries for 749 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns, with 6 receptions on 8 targets for 48 receiving yards.
