Giants' Daniel Jones (neck) expects to be cleared by summer
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) "absolutely" believes he will be cleared to return for the team's spring and summer activities ahead of the 2022 season.
Jones also mentioned that he expected to return in a matter of weeks as opposed to months, so it would seem the young quarterback will get to participate in the full offseason program. The Giants organization is in a tumultuous state at the moment after general manager Dave Gettleman announced his retirement earlier today, but the sense as of this writing is that Jones will continue to lead the Giants' lackluster offense in 2022.
Jones did make improvements as a quarterback in his third season, dropping his sack percentage (5.7%) and interception rate (1.9%) to career lows, but still threw just 10 touchdowns over 11 games. Only the Jacksonville Jaguars (253) scored fewer points than the Giants (258) this season.
