Rams rule out Cam Akers (Achilles) for Week 17
The Los Angeles Rams have ruled out running back Cam Akers (Achilles) for their Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Akers was a long shot to play this week as he continues to work his way back from a devastating Achilles injury, despite the team activating him from the injured reserve a week ago. With Darrell Henderson (knee) on the injured reserve, Sony Michel is lined up for another massive workload this week.
Our models project Michel, who has a $7,100 salary on FanDuel, to score 15.1 fantasy points this week, making him the RB5 in our Week 17 projections. The Ravens defense is very banged up, but has still managed to put up a strong front against opposing rushing offenses this season. However, Michel's volume on the Rams' exciting offense should be more than enough to overcome the Ravens' defense.
