Raiders' Marcus Mariota lands on reserve/COVID list, out for Week 16
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Marcus Mariota has been added to the reserve/COVID list and will not play in the team's Week 16 game against the Denver Broncos.
Mariota had been seeing occasional snaps and some designed rushing plays while serving as the team's primary backup for Derek Carr this season, but will miss this week's game while he enters the league's health and safety protocols. Nathan Peterman will serve as Carr's backup for this week against the Broncos.
Mariota's absence doesn't move the needle much for fantasy purposes, but does more or less guarantee that Carr won't be leaving the field outside of an injury. Our models project Carr, who has a $7,000 salary on FanDuel, to score 16.5 fantasy points in Week 16.
