Saints' Taysom Hill enters protocols, likely out Week 16
The New Orleans Saints placed quarterback Taysom Hill on the reserve/COVID list.
Hill is unlikely to be available for Monday night's Week 16 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, so the Saints are reportedly preparing for rookie Ian Book to start. Book, a fourth-round pick out of Notre Dame, has not taken a snap all season. Taysom Hill has struggled as a thrower this year, but this should still be considered a downgrade for Marquez Callaway and the rest of the Saints' pass-catchers.
Book completed 9-of-16 attempts for 126 scoreless yards and an interception in his only preseason appearance for New Orleans. He displayed some rushing ability in college with 485 rushing yards and nine touchdowns across 12 games in his final season at Notre Dame. The Dolphins are ranked 11th in FanDuel points per game this season.
