Chargers' reportedly limiting Austin Ekeler (ankle) workload Thursday
Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) "won't get a full workload" in Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night, reports Taylor Bisciotti of NFL Network.
Ekeler is expected to play through his ankle injury on Thursday night, but Bisciotti says Ekeler is dealing with more soreness than the Chargers anticipated at the beginning of the week. Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley could see a few more touches versus the Chiefs if Bisciotti is correct.
Ekeler has a $15,000 salary on FanDuel's Thursday night slate and numberFire's models currently project him for 12.3 carries and 4.3 catches. The Chargers may focus more on their running game Thursday, as per our adjusted metrics, the Chiefs have the No. 11 pass defense and No. 25 run defense in the league.
