Browns Kareem Hunt (calf) will handle third down role in Week 12 return
Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt (calf) will operate as the team's third down back in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens.
What It Means:
Hunt hasn't played since straining his calf back in Week 6, but was activated off of the injured reserve earlier this week and will make his return just in time for the Browns' divisional matchup against the Ravens. A third-down role could easily have fantasy value in this matchup against a Ravens defense that blitzes at the third-highest rate (34.3%) in the league.
Hunt is still expected to play behind lead back Nick Chubb in this one, but our models project him for 10.7 fantasy points in that valuable role in the Browns' offense. He has a $7,000 salary on FanDuel. With Hunt back in the mix, expect D'Ernest Johnson's role to diminish.
