Saints' Adam Trautman (knee) expected to miss 4-6 weeks
New Orleans Saints tight end Adam Trautman (sprained MCL) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, Adam Schefter reports.
Trautman was the dominant member of the Saints' passing game in Week 11, but unfortunately suffered a knee injury just over halfway through the game. While the second-year tight end appeared to be in a concerning amount of pain after suffering the injury, he has apparently avoided significant damage, and will miss 4-6 weeks while he recovers.
Trautman, who recorded Pro Football Focus' top run-blocking grade in 2020 despite his status as a rookie, had been percolating as a receiving option in the Saints' passing game recently. He posted a 5-58-1 receiving line prior to his exit in Week 11.
