Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) inactive Thursday
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) did not practice Thursday for Week 11 against the Detroit Lions.
Peoples-Jones injured his groin during Wednesday's practice. Anthony Schwartz (concussion) is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, so the Browns could be extremely thin at receiver behind Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins.
Peoples-Jones played a season-high 85% of the snaps last week. Over the last two weeks, Peoples-Jones is second on the Browns in routes (48), tied for first in targets (8), and first in receiving yards (102). DPJ has an average depth of target of 17.5 yards downfield, which is seventh-deepest among players targeted at least 15 times this year, per Sports Info Solutions. That could bode well in Week 11 against a Lions defense allowing the second-highest average explosive pass rate (12%), according to Sharp Football Stats.
