Ravens release Le'Veon Bell

The Baltimore Ravens released running back Le'Veon Bell.

What It Means:

Bell appeared in five games for Baltimore after signing in early September. His release could mean that Latavius Murray is ready to return from his ankle injury. Murray and Devonta Freeman will likely split the Ravens' backfield work for the rest of the season. The Ravens are facing the Chicago Bears in Week 11.

The Bears are ranked 16th against the run in numberFire's power rankings and they are 14th in FanDuel points allowed per game to the running back position this season. Bell rushed 31 times for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Ravens. Among the 74 running backs with at least 25 carries this year, Bell ranks 55th in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
