Bills' Cole Beasley playing time limited by rib injury

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley's playing time was limited in Week 10 due to a rib injury, per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic.

What It Means:

Beasley was removed from the injury report on Friday for Week 10, but he played just 9-of-58 offensive snaps (15.5%) in Sunday's 45-17 drubbing of the New York Jets. The Bills are insisting that Beasley will be fine for Week 11 against the Indianapolis Colts, so the limited snap count could have been primarily due to the lopsided score. Gabriel Davis would be in line for more work if Beasley is not at 100 percent for Week 11.

Beasley is averaging 1.62 and Davis is averaging 1.68 yards per route run this season, but Beasley's average depth of target (5.8 yards) is much shorter than Davis' (14.5). The Colts are the epitome of a pass-funnel defense, as they have the worst pass defense and best run defense in numberFire's power rankings.
