Steelers' Minkah Fitzpatrick tests positive for COVID-19

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be placed on the reserve-COVID list ahead of Week 11.

What It Means:

Fitzpatrick will join quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on the reserve-COVID list after the quarterback tested positive for the virus earlier last week. It's a sign that the Steelers are in the midst of a possible outbreak of the virus, putting the status of many of their fantasy-relevant players in potential jeopardy for Week 11.

While Fitzpatrick hasn't caught any interceptions yet this season after creating 9 in his previous 2 seasons with the team, he is still an every-down player for the team and a critical player for the team's defense despite his struggles in coverage in 2021. His absence, coupled with the potential of T.J. Watt (knee) missing time, could leave the Steelers hamstrung defensively against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11.
