Raiders' Josh Jacobs (chest) reportedly avoids major injury
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (chest) likely avoided a major injury in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Jacobs injured his chest on a touchdown run late in the second quarter and exited for the locker room. He racked up 69 yards on nine touches before leaving. The Raiders are on bye in Week 8, so Jacobs has the advantage of an additional week of rest. Peyton Barber, who was a healthy scratch on Sunday, operated as the Raiders' lead back earlier in the year when Jacobs was out and picked up 36 carries in two games.
Jacobs is averaging 13.7 FanDuel points per game this season (RB17) despite playing less than 55% of the snaps twice and never logging an offensive snap share higher than 70%. Jacobs has earned the No. 13 rushing grade (78.5) from Pro Football Focus this season.
