Sterling Shepard (hamstring) questionable for Giants versus Panthers
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (hamstring) is questionable for Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers.
Shepard is believed to have suffered a setback during Thursday's practice and his status is now in doubt for Sunday. Shepard led the league with 14 targets last in his first game back from injury. Kadarius Toney (ankle) and Kenny Golladay (knee) have already been ruled out for the Giants while Darius Slayton (hamstring) and John Ross (hamstring) are both questionable as well. Dante Pettis and Collin Johnson are the only healthy receivers currently on the Giants 53-man roster.
numberFire's models have down-ticked Shepard's projections to 5.2 targets and 6.5 FanDuel points for Sunday. The Panthers are allowing the fifth-fewest Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play and they rank 11th in FanDuel points allowed per game to the wide receiver position.
