Rams' Sony Michel (shoulder) expected to play in Week 7
Los Angeles Rams running back Sony Michel injured his shoulder in the team's Week 6 win over the New York Giants.
Michel picked up a shoulder injury in the win, but is expected to play in Week 7 according to head coach Sean McVay. Michel has mostly operated as a change of pace back behind teammate Darrell Henderson, but the Rams showed a willingness to let him take the reigns when Henderson missed time.
Michel rushed the ball 9 times for 42 yards in Week 6, and is averaging 10.6 rushes for 40.6 yards per game in Rams' last 5 games. While he's not an every week starter, he is one of the higher upside running back handcuffs in the league on the Rams' exciting offense. The Rams have a soft matchup in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions.
