The Broncos appear to be giving the veteran rest during the practice week, which can't hurt ahead of their Week 7 Thursday Night Football matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

Gordon has managed to stave off any kind of backfield takeover by rookie teammate Javonte Williams, with the pair working in a dead-even timeshare through the first six weeks of the season. Both backs could see significant volume on Thursday night if the Browns are without quarterback Baker Mayfield.
