Nick Chubb (calf) still not practicing for Cleveland

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (calf) is a DNP on Monday's projected practice report for Thursday night's Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos.

What It Means:

The Browns only provided a projection because they didn't hold an actual practice, but nonetheless, Chubb remains a DNP after being sidelined all of last week. Kareem Hunt (calf) has already been ruled out multiple games, so the Browns will turn to D'Ernest Johnson and sixth-round rookie Demetric Felton in the backfield if Chubb is out again. Johnson would likely be the primary early-down runner and Felton figures to be a bigger factor in passing situations. Baker Mayfield injured his shoulder on Sunday and is also in danger of missing Thursday's game.

The Broncos are allowing the fifth-fewest FanDuel points per game to the running back position and the seventh-fewest Adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points per play this season. Felton and Johnson both logged 20.3% offensive snap shares and two touches a piece in Week 6. On the year, Felton has run a route on 24-of-26 pass plays that he's been on the field for, compared to Johnson running just seven routes on 11 passing snaps.
