Curtis Samuel (groin) ruled out Week 6 for Washington
Washington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin) has been ruled out for Week 6 agains the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Samuel aggravated the groin injury that kept him sidelined for the first three weeks of the season and it is expected to keep him on the sidelines for multiple games again. Cam Sims (hamstring) has also been ruled out and Dyami Brown (knee) is questionable. Terry McLaurin, who has more than twice as many targets as anyone else on the Football Team, is also questionable with a hamstring injury, so Taylor Heinicke could be missing a significant amount of pass-catching talent on Sunday.
numberFire's models project McLaurin to lead Washington with 9.7 targets in Week 6, followed by Adam Humphries with 5.0 targets. The Chiefs have the fourth-worst pass defense in the league this season, according to our advanced efficiency rankings.
